I try my best when traveling-no problem. I hang my towels and re-use, hang up the "do not disturb sign" so the staff can save some resources in cleaning my room daily. I throw my plastic and glass in designated areas; use my shamppo and soap more than one day, turn off the lights and air conditioner when leaving the room. I pat myself on the back for conserving some resources. OK, "I Did Good." Myself and 44% of other travelers feel that considering environmental impact somewhat or very important. I try to visit the resorts that are considered "environmentally green"; ie Sandals and Couples Resorts, Starwood Hotels, Hyatt, Marriott and Fairmont, but it goes beyond that. Are you willing to pay a little extra to get "Green Globe Certified" resorts? We all need to think about our beautiful planet, our kids, grandkids and future generations so they can enjoy traveling in some of the most beautiful and interesting places availble. Be kind to Mother Nature.
