Today's blog is in memory of our loving cat Rusty who we enjoyed for 4 years. Unfortunately a coyote got him as I was outside in the garage. Rusty was a Turkish Van (known as the "swimming cat" and also dog like qualities). He was a joy and since I work from home was by my side constantly. He would go out for an hour in the morning with me watching him and then an hour in the evening before dark. This broke our hearts as he went for walks with us, enjoyed watching our koi and having some of their food as a special treat. He was a great hunter and of course would bring anything to my office door and most of the time we would let the birds go, but still praising him for his catch. Have you ever had a cat come when called-well, that was Rusty.
We did go out a week later and got 2 kittens that are a Turkish Van mix-they are cute and put a smile back on my face, but the hurt is still there. As they say, time heals all. He is buried under an oak tree by the creek he loved so much.
Rusty, you have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and we will love you forever. Rest in peace and thank you for the joy you gave us
