HURRICANE SEASON IS UPON US

Forecasters are predicting a more active hurricane season for 2010. Don't let this keep you from your vacation plans, just beware of the months, locations you go to. You definitely want to purchase the travel insurance as it is well worth the small price.

The Atlantic hurricane season begins June 1 and peaks around September and usually winds down around November. We can contribute the warmer than normal sea surface temperatures off the west coast of Africa, which is the prime breeding ground for most Atlantic storms for this forecast.

There are many areas that usually don't get the brunt of these storms and that is Jamaica, the US Virgin Islands and of course the Hawaiian Islands (not Atlantic). Plan your trips wisely and ask for any advice, although that is something none of us can control. The weather and the flight times, schedules, cancellations are out of anyone's control.
