This will be a 3 part series on my recent travel agent "mega" fam trip to 3 different islands in the Bahamas.
What a whirlwind of a trip-leaving LAX on a red-eye flight to our first destination Exuma in the Bahamas. A very small island in which we visited the world's first All Butler service luxury resort-Sandals Emerald bay! What an experience as soon as we landed-do you think anyone slept-we tried, but were too excited and the crew on board were hilarious. Once we arrived we were whisked through security and onto a personalized tour of the resort, rooms, etc. The golf course with amazing view of the Caribbean is a Greg Norman par 72 course with 6 signature oceanside holes. The pools (in which there are 3) and one with a large zero entry pool and central fire pit was amazing.
This resort is not for all but for those who want to just kick back, enjoy the resort and what they offer (5 wonderful restaurants-great Red Lane Spa and of course the weekly late night Chocolate Buffett). You will be spoiled by the butlers (all English trained), the water sports are amazing and you can even swim with the pigs!! How fun is that-everyone swims with dolphins, but PIGS-you will have bragging rites! There are many small islands around the resort to visit if you want to venture away from your luxurious hotel and Island Routes will help you with your needs. A great honeymoon getaway for that piece and quiet you would like after your busy wedding, BUT don't forget you can also plan a Martha Stewart wedding at the resort as well. A great experience, but wanted to stay longer!
